·         Leave the Boise Downtown YMCA @ 2 PM sharp via YMCA vans

·         Arrive at the Bogus Basin Nordic Center about 3 PM

·         Equipment fitting from 3:00 – 3:30 PM

·         On-snow clinic from 3:30 – 5:00 PM

·         Leave Bogus at 5:15 PM and back at the Y at 6:00 PM

A chance to try cross country skiing in a super fun environment with the help of experienced coaches and Bogus Basin Junior Ski Team athletes.  Learning skiing skills, playing games and meeting new friends.

Intermountain Junior National team will be announced 1 hour after the last JNQ finisher.  There will be a BBQ while we wait, please bring $5 if you would like to eat.

Return to Boise:  late.  We will call when @ 45 minutes out.

Bring A Friend To Ski With Bogus Basin Nordic Team

·        $10 cost for gear and trail fees if your child is not a Bogus Basin season pass holder and does not own cross country gear.  Make checks payable to Bogus Basin Nordic Center.

·        The attached liability release must be signed by the parent and handed to coaches upon arrival.

·        Please Confirm your Child’s participation No Later than Monday, February 16 to Mark Ryan <mryanboise@msn.com>   

·        A liability release must be signed by a parent and handed to the coaches upon arrival.  The release can be found on BBNT’s web page by clicking on “Forms” under “Navigation” in the right hand column of the home page and then printing the form opened by clicking on “Assumption of Risk and Release”

·        Transportation Provided in two BBNT Team Vans or with BBNT parent drivers.  Meet at 3:30 pm on the south side of the former Ridley’s Market parking lot (Bogus Basin Road).  Vans depart at 3:45 pm sharp.  Return approx. 7:00 pm.

·        If you are driving your child: please arrive at Frontier Point Nordic Lodge by 4:20 pm.  We will fit gear and get onto snow by @ 4:45 pm and ski until 6:00.

BOGUS BASIN NORDIC CLASSIC SKI RACE

When:  Saturday February 21st

Registration: 8:45 to 9:45 on race day

Race Start:  10:15 am, 1km & 2.5 km     

10:45 am longer distances

Where: Frontier Point Nordic Center, Bogus Basin

Bogus Basin Nordic Team is holding a nordic race for youth and anyone in the community interested in nordic skiing. The event is Classic technique (diagonal stride) with mass start format.

     Ages 10 & under 1km               Ages 10-13     2.5 km

     Ages 14-15      7.5 km                Ages 16 and older 15 km

     Adults-open division - choose either 7.5 or 15 km.

Entry fee: $5 for 1-2.5 km,, $10 jrs 7.5 and 15km; $20 for adults.

Informal awards and prizes following race completion upstairs in the Frontier Point Nordic Center Lodge.
